Sandakphu, a picturesque spot located near the Indo-Nepal border in West Bengal’s Singalila National Park, is close to Sandakphu. Sandakphu Trek is a haven for trekkers and is quickly becoming a popular destination for regular travelers.
Sandandakphu’s trip is often called the “Trekkers Wonderland”. These four major peaks are Mount Everest (Kangchenjunga), Lhotse, Makalu, and Lhotse. The famous Singalila Ridge is the focal point of the tour. It descends to Kanchendzongha, and forms the border between Sikkim und Nepal. This road passes through small towns and is one of the most valuable in the Himalayan Islands.
The trail runs through Singalila National Park, which is a biodiversity hotspot that hosts a variety of fauna and flora. Red Pandas are rare, but they are very rare.
Sandakphu Sightseeing
Sandakphu Phalut Trek offers the rare opportunity to see the highest point in the world at 8,000m. At 11,930 feet, Sandakphu’s Phalut Trek is visible to the left. The Everest collection can be seen at your left.
Lhotse, Makalu and Makalu are the fourth- and fifth highest points in the world. They try to beat the world’s highest peak. There is also Everest, the Greatest.
To your right is Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. It stands alongside its peak family. Because of its appearance, this family of pets is called The Sleeping Buddha.
Although the Everest collection is only visible from Sandakphu, and beyond, the view to the Sleeping Buddha begins on the first day and lasts for four days!
It is rare to find a place that gives you such a great idea of the 8,000 peaks. Even a small number of them can easily be reached with a moderately strenuous trip.
A Good Time To Visit Sandakphu
Sandandakphu is best visited between May and August.
Every season offers a different theme, from the beautiful spring Rhododendrons, magnolia, and autumn colors to the snowy winter middle. It is possible to see ideas, landscapes and changes in plant and animal life at different times throughout the year.
Sandakphu, unless you are looking for flowers or clear views of the snow, is the best place to go every eight months. Visitors are not allowed to travel during the monsoon season (May to August).
